Cheristow Lavender B&B
Cheristow Lavender is very close the SW Coast Path and situated in beautiful rolling countryside. With lovely open views and fabulous walks right from the front door this is the perfect getaway.
Situated on a working farm that uses low-impact, traditional farming processes that are as close to organic as possible, this genuinely family-run business offers a tearoom, campsite and a lovely triple room with shared bathroom. The tearoom overlooks the lavender field and there are extensive informal gardens open to the public from mid June to mid September.
Each morning enjoy a very generous, organic breakfast using as much of the farm's own produce as possible. Evening meals are also available by prior arrangment. Cheristow Lavender is a very sociable place and volunteers come here to learn about sustainable living, so there is always someone interesting to talk to.
There are books, magazines, games and puzzles for your enjoyment. The informal and casual gardens are a combination of lavender, roses and wild flowers interspersed with wildlife friendly plantings. They are looked after by the volunteers and provide a lovely quiet space to relax. You are welcome to help with the weeding!
This part of the Hartland Peninsula, aside from being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is also a really secluded, get-away-from-it-all destination with stunning, unspoilt coastline, countryside and walks.
Michelle and Eric Heard believe life is for living and enjoying. Come and spend a few days in this beautiful part of the world and remind yourself again of the simple but richly rewarding pleasures of all that nature has to offer.
