New coffee shop in Hartland opens this Friday!

The Old Bakery Coffee shop, appropriately sited at the village’s former bakery on the Square in Hartland opens for the very first time this Friday 4th March 2015 from 11am – 5pm.  And, as it’s Easter weekend, the menu will include some very special Easter treats, like this utterly tempting cream egg cheesecake.

This brand new venue, right in the heart of the village, will be open 7 days a week from 9am – 5pm for the finest teas, coffees, soft drinks, cakes, cream teas, soups and light lunches.
A genuinely family-run business, it will be the perfect year-round pitstop in Hartland, offering the warmest of welcomes and delicious food and drink to locals and visitors alike.  After you’ve used the village amenities, picked up your supplies, visited the galleries and studios or followed the Hartland Heritage Trail why not pop into this historic building for lunch, morning coffee, afternoon tea or a totally authentic Devon Cream Tea.
As the daughter of a long line of Hartland farmers, Sarah Heard uses only the freshest of local ingredients, sourced from the local farms and suppliers, and everything is hand made or baked on the premises.  Choose from local meat, cheese and seafood sandwiches, salads and pasties or opt for locally grown salads, hand baked cakes, pastries, scones and locally sourced drinks.
All diets including gluten-free are catered for, children are very welcome and well-behaved dogs are too.  If you have a special occasion or something you’d like specially catered for please get in touch.
