Visit Cheristow Lavender
Like a mini-Provence, with rows and rows of lavender, Cheristow Lavender is an absolutely glorious, exotic sight in full bloom. Cheristow Lavender is a unique family run business and attraction offering the tearooms, campsite, bed and breakfast and lovely gardens. With free entry to the tearoom and lavender field, £2.50 per adult charge to the 'Secret Garden', and wonderful views this is a great place to spend time for any age.
Set just 25 mins walk from the South West Coastpath, in the beautiful, rolling Hartland countryside and wholly within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cheristow Lavender Farm is also a working farm with its own herd of Ruby cattle, and much of the meat, veg and fruit grown on the farm is for sale or used in the tearoom (such as in the savoury scones). In the same family for over 60 years they are committed to working in harmony with the surrounding environment, and use the countryside and gardens as inspiration for their products.
For 2017, the tearoom is not offering lunches, but is offering home made cream teas, cakes and savoury scones such as cheese, steak and stilton and beef and onion. Dogs are welcome outside and a maximum of two dogs at any one time inside.
Come and wander amongst the lavender and visit the informal and wild gardens, take an award winning cream tea in the wonderful tearoomsoverlooking the lavender field and even stay on the camp site or in the B&B.
