Well, we asked around. The Hartland Hartbreakers mentioned the running (of course) which is very challenging terrain. And I love walking. The fact that I can walk my dogs on the lanes, off lead, and that they are safe, is wonderful. Also, huge numbers of primroses are wowing me at the moment!!
Martin from Yapham Cottages suggested:
1. The bird watching. He says:
I have noticed many of our guests are interested in birds, and that we have a huge number of birds on the peninsula.
2. Dark Skies.
Hartland is a wonderful place for star gazing and celestial events.
3. Cycling.
We ought to set up a cycle route around Hartland. Anyone?
Anna from Coastguard Cottages B & B says that for her, what is special about the area is the tremendous community spirit, missing in some nay places. It is close-knit and this means there is a genuine depth of local knowledge. The fact that people are laid back, trust our visitors and have high expectations of them has a knock on effect to the vibe of the area….
Any other thoughts?
