Three New Prints
inspired by R Pearse Chope’s book
“Farthest from Railways:
an Unknown Corner of Devon”
Artist Clive Brocklehurst says:
“Chope’s booklet describing Hartland in the late 19th and early 20th century coupled with my love of railway posters from the 1920’s and 30’s inspired these pictures and designs.
To pay homage to this wonderful location, in a style used to promote a mode of transport by which it couldn’t be reached, appealed to my sense of humour.
Colourful and stylish I hope they reflect in a nostalgic way the feeling, charm and beauty of this still very special place.”
