The Point @ Hartland Point has just opened for the 2015 season so between now and September is open daily 10am – 5pm (and later in the evening as the season goes on) for delicious food and drink in an unparalleled outdoor setting.
Right on the South West Coast Path at Hartland Point with sweeping vistas of the North Devon and North Cornwall coastlines and Lundy Island, it’s hard to imagine a more spectacular place to enjoy some refreshment.
Walk via the coast path or from inland via the lovely lanes, drive down and park (summer toll) or cycle down – however you get there you’ll be very glad you came. And bring your dog, it is doggy heaven here.
The couple who run it, Sam and Amy, have two joint passions: one for great food and drink and the other for the outstanding natural beauty of the local area (Sam is also a very keen photographer). And their enthusiasm shines through in the quality and thoughtfulness of what they offer: warming hot drinks and soups for chilly days, pre-orderable packed lunches for walkers on a schedule and luxurious cakes, smoothies, cream teas and light lunches (including gluten free options) for those who want to linger and soak up the beautiful surroundings. They also deliver locally and make up cream tea hampers to order.
Purely an outdoor space (and there are no toilets) this is a truly unique, extensive al fresco option that is not to be missed… as the rave Trip Advisor reviews and their hugely enthusiastic Facebook followers attest.
