Welcombe Open Studios is a much looked forward to annual event in this stunning location. This year, the organisers say:
"Come and experience the magic of Welcombe at our 11th annual Summer Open Studios on Fri 12th, Sat 13th and Sunday 14th August. 10.30 – 5pm.
This year we are 12 local artists all showing new work. We are painters, portrait artists, furniture makers, potters, textile artists, photographers and sculptors, all displaying work across the village.
Eight artists are showing work in the village hall along side the famous Welcombe Pop-Up Tearooms.
Three artists are showing from their studios all conveniently close to The Old Smithy Pub, which makes a scrumptious lunch.
On Friday 12th there will be a sculptor down at Welcombe Mouth organised by The National Trust.
Art, crafts and delicious food all by the sea, a perfect day out at Welcombe, on the North Devon, Cornwall border."
The twelve artists taking part are:
Painters: Becky Cohen, Karen Gimlinge, Kim Mudge, Peter Stiles, Rick Hall and Richard Stevens.
Furniture by Pacha Design.
Potters: David Westcott and Alice Gare.
Textiles: Nicola Waltho.
Photography: Paul Jenner.
