Hartland Quay |
What do you do here when you get an hour free and the sun is shining? Well, I tend to go to Hartland Quay and can recommend it to any visitors. The vista as you drive down is the first thing that hits you. The view along the rugged coastline never ceases to amaze me; it is awesome.
My son, who was visiting, commented on the sun hitting the ripples in the water. It was a spectacular light show. Photos (mine at any rate) cannot capture it.
Sitting outside at The Quay in the warm spring sunshine is a relaxing experience. The Wreckers offers fine ales, and more usual items. My summery favourite is their very cold, white Zinfandel. But the view alone is intoxicating. For other places to go, check out the website http://www.hartlandpeninsula.co.uk
