For 10 years now a group of local people have been hosting a glittering, glamorous and fun-filled midsummer charity weekend and have raised in excess of £195,000 for the North Devon Hospice and Cancer Research. The aim has always been to create some truly memorable nights and days out whilst doing some incredible good in the process.
This year’s events are selling out fast – the Friday night grand Charity Ball is now fully booked – but there are still tickets left for the musical highlight of the weekend: Live at the Abbey.
From 7pm to 1am on Saturday 27th June be royally entertained by live original and tribute acts: Robbie Williams, Abba, Yazzy and Fat Boy Slim (performers Mike Andrews, Conterfeit Abba, Yazzy and Pulse FX DJ) and enjoy the welcome drink, 3 course dinner, promise and silent auction, champagne bar, casino and lots of fun surprises.
Get dressed up to the nines for an extraordinary night out and help to raise some serious money for Cancer Research UK and the North Devon Hospice – two extremely worthy charities that, at some time or other, touch us all.
Then, on the Sunday (28th June), the whole family can come along for Devon’s Big BBQ! The grounds of Hartland Abbey will be teeming with entertainment, delicious food and everything you need to make this a great day out for all your family and friends. A highlight of the day will be the opportunity to take part in a Guiness World Record attempt, by joining in with the cream tea challenge.
Devon’s BIG Barbecue will be a chance to enjoy the splendid British summer in the most glorious surroundings. An outdoor party with wonderful food, live entertainment and much, much more.
