The Small School was set up in 1981 by a group pf parents who wished their secondary aged children to be educated within their own community on a human-scale.
We take children from Hartland and surrounding area and currently have an enrolment of 23 students aged 11 to 16.
We offer GCSEs in year 11 – English (double), Maths, Science (double), French, Art, Photography, Humanities, Latin and Classics.
Most of our graduates go on to further studies at North Devon College
