Many of the lanes criss-crossing the Peninsula offer exceptional, very low traffic cycling with spectacular views (and nice watering stops!). There are also off-road cycling routes.
A short drive from the Peninsula is the famous Tarka Trail, a dedicated cycling and walking path with over 30 miles of completely car-free cycling from Braunton to Meeth on the old railway lines of North Devon. Winding through some exceptional countryside, towns and villages the route also takes you through Tarka Country and right across the rivers and bridges featured in Henry Williamson’s famous book Tarka the Otter.
Bring your own cycles, borrow from your accommodation provider or hire from www.biketrail.co.uk – they’ll even deliver and collect!
