Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Fosfelle Cottage Apartments provide a great environment to relax and unwind with spacious grounds and facilities, in a perfect location. The local wildlife includes a wide variety of wild birds, owls, kingfishers, waterfowl, bats, hedgehogs and the occasional wandering deer. Fosfelle is the ideal place to soak up the natural beauty of Hartland and the surrounding area.
Fosfelle is situated by a wooded valley with a stream and fishing ponds, is a short walk from Hartland village and approximately 15 miles from Bideford and Bude. Fosfelle boasts outstanding air quality and has one of the lowest light pollutions in the UK, allowing you to gaze at the stunning night skies.
The range of accommodations available at Fosfelle provides the ideal base for all age groups to explore the area and everything that it has to offer.
There are three self-contained apartments in a converted barn each finished to a high standard, with kitchenette, shower bathroom and a comfy seating area. Each apartment has a small enclosed outside seating area and is dog friendly.
Quince (sleeps 3) over 2 bedrooms, a cosy ground floor apartment.
Bramble (sleeps 4) over 2 bedrooms, a double bedroom and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds. A first-floor apartment, the apartment is accessed via an external staircase from which there are great views of the surrounding countryside and beautiful sunsets.
Rowan is a 2-storey apartment (sleeps 6) over 3 bedrooms one ensuite, 1 double and 1 twin. Downstairs comprises a well-appointed kitchenette, a seating/dining area and toilet.
All cottages have access to the shared games room and a hot tub which can be booked for exclusive use via the reception area. The cottages are all dog friendly, and a welcome pack is provided.
Fosfelle animals. Meet pygmy goats, our inquisitive alpacas, the miniature donkeys, an Exmoor pony and an abundance of chickens. Many of the animals roam freely, guests are welcome to interact with the animals when accompanied by Fosfelle staff.
Pet Friendly
At Fosfelle all our accommodation is pet friendly except for Bertram’s Hotel (sleeping 5) as a safety precaution because the double decker bus stairs are a little narrow and steep.
There are some great dog walks on the Hartland Peninsula including the southwest coastal path. All the Hartland pubs and the café will accept dogs. but there are some in-house restricted areas.
